Reformer Pilates

What Is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout performed on a machine called a reformer bed. Using springs and straps for resistance, it helps improve strength, posture, balance, and flexibility through smooth, controlled movements.
This style of Pilates strengthens your body while protecting your joints. It improves movement patterns, prevents injuries, and builds long-term physical confidence — all in a supportive and safe environment.
It’s ideal for injury recovery, chronic pain, and anyone wanting a safe, supported way to exercise — no matter your fitness level.
Who Is It For?
Reformer Pilates is suitable for:
- People recovering from injury or surgery
- Those managing pain, joint issues, or mobility challenges
- Pre- and post-natal clients
- Beginners starting their exercise journey
- Anyone looking to build core strength, flexibility, or better posture
You don’t need to be fit or flexible to start — every session is tailored to your level and needs.

How Do I Get Started?
At Physio Strong Albany, your safety and wellbeing come first. Before beginning any program with us, we take the time to get to know you, your health background, and any past or current injuries. This helps us tailor your sessions to your needs and minimise the risk of further injury. That’s why all new clients start with an Initial Assessment.
